Potomac Valley Visit

On September 23, 2017, the Cedars traveled south to visit the Potomac Valley Church of Christ (PVCOC). Forty-four passengers on a deluxe David Tours coach headed out Saturday morning, ready for a long-anticipated visit with the Cornerstone Ministry, the mature disciples of PVCOC.

En route to Virginia, there was a stop in Washington, DC at the Smithsonian Museums. Most of our travelers visited the National Museum of African American History and Culture which was celebrating its first anniversary. Others visited the Museum of the American Indian, the Hirshhorn Museum and the Museum of American History.

That evening we were met by more than 25 host families who provided dinner and housing for us. Such amazing hospitality!!

Travelers and host families came together for continental breakfast before service which was a celebration of Grandparents Day. Bill Thorne of the Northern Virginia Church delivered a powerful message from Luke 4 and 5.

Back on the bus, we headed to the National Harbor on the beautiful Potomac River in Maryland. After sight-seeing and early dinners, we headed back to Philly. What an amazing and beautiful weekend. Thank you so much Potomac Valley!!
